Last opportunity to apply for funding with Skills for Care

Posted on March 11, 2016 in News
Personal health budget (PHB) holders can still apply for funding from Skills for Care to pay for training for themselves or their PAs before the 31 March. The funding can also be used to meet the cost of travel or hiring replacement support if a PA attends training during working hours.
news-personal-health-budgetSo far over 30 budget holders have received funding to pay for training for over 100 PAs. The training that has been funded includes:
  • Asperger’s awareness
  • Awareness regarding working with someone with an acquired brain injury
  • First aid
  • Food safety
  • Diplomas in health and social care
  • Mental health awareness
  • Problem solving in the work place
  • Understanding end of life care
More examples are available to download here, but you should remember this isn’t everything, and all applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.
