Free Training for PAs working for People needing High Physical Support

Posted on December 4, 2023 in News

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance is now delivering training aimed at PAs working for people with high physical support needs.

Do you work with, or want to work with people who have high physical support needs?

Whether it’s understanding ventilation, the importance of positioning, or how to fit around someone’s job, family, and life, the Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance PA training programme is designed to give you the knowledge you need to excel in roles like this.

Led by a disabled PA employer, and with the training created by a wide range of employers with high physical support needs, you’re learning about what people need from their PAs - from the PA employers themselves.

Whether you’re an experienced PA, or are new to the role, whether you’ve only ever worked with people with high support needs, or have never done so, this training is for you. We have thirteen free modules you can study individually - or you can take a weekend or week-long course that covers all thirteen.

Why take a course?

These online courses are a fantastic opportunity to learn about care from disabled people themselves. They let you earn certificates in 13 different training modules - proving your knowledge and experience to other future employers.

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance have created these training programs working with Skills for Care to provide these courses free of charge, but they are starting soon - so if you want to register, do so now!

All training is online via Zoom.

The course comprises flexible dates and times to fit in with you, and you will be able to catch up on any training you might have missed and still receive the certificate.
