Disabled workers fear telling employers about their condition

And a fear of discrimination prevents disabled people from telling employers about their condition, according to the latest research from the disability charity Scope.
The charity’s chief executive said the report should be “a wake-up call for business” and highlighted the need to “drastically transform workplace culture”.
Almost half of those asked were not aware of what rights they had as an employee and the report unearthed various examples of discrimination in the workplaces, including a junior doctor who was discouraged from using her wheelchair at work!
