If you’re an individual who employs your own personal assistants (PAs) using a
personal health budget, you can apply for funding from Skills for Care for training for yourself and your staff.

this leaflet.
What can the money be used for?
It can be used for lots of different care-related training courses and qualifications including:
- Moving and handling
- First aid
- Adult social care qualifications
- Dementia awareness
- How to be a good employer
- Bespoke training
It can also cover travel costs and the cost of hiring replacement PAs.
