Funding for personal health budget holders now open

Mobility scooter user and carerIf you’re an individual who employs your own personal assistants (PAs) using a personal health budget, you can apply for funding from Skills for Care for training for yourself and your staff.

If you’re a PA and your employer receives a personal health budget, tell them about the funding using this leaflet.

What can the money be used for?

It can be used for lots of different care-related training courses and qualifications including:
  • Moving and handling
  • First aid
  • Adult social care qualifications
  • Dementia awareness
  • How to be a good employer
  • Bespoke training
It can also cover travel costs and the cost of hiring replacement PAs.
